Description
1947-D WRPM-028 is a repunched mint mark on the 1947-D Lincoln Wheat cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Wexler describes it as D/D Tilted (Rotated): the extra D is rotated relative to the primary. Obverse markers: a field chip to the lower right of the chin, and long, faint NE scratches from the 19 of the date. Reverse markers: east-west scratches beneath PLURIBUS's BUS; an arching scratch touching the lower outer edge of CENT's C; and a chip under STATES' first T. Brian Ribar submitted the variety. Coppercoins lists it as 1947D-1MM-011.
