Cross-referenced as FS-501, this 1945 San Francisco Washington Quarter combines three variety designations: an S/S North repunched mintmark, a Trumpet Tail mintmark (MMS-002), and a doubled die reverse listed as DDR-004. Attributed by VarietyVista (UVC-0580, DMR-012), the Trumpet Tail refers to a distinctive flared extension on the S mintmark. Stage A: EDS unconfirmed.
