Description
The 1938 (D) Lincoln Wheat Cent is a cent from the Denver Mint, belonging to the Lincoln Wheat Cents 1909-1958 series. With a mintage of 20.0 million, this is a less common issue — ranked 2nd of 3 mint variants by mintage, with 10% of production. The obverse features Abraham Lincoln facing right, the first real person depicted on a U.S. circulating coin and the reverse displays two wheat stalks framing ONE CENT, symbolizing American agriculture.
