Description

Obverse Stage A: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Long die scratch south from the L in LIBERTY to the rim. Light SE die scratches from the beard toward the 1 in the date. Die chip (dot) in the field west from the top of the 1 in the date. Strong secondary mint mark. Obverse Stage B: Stage A markers abraded away except a weaker chip west of the 1. Medium secondary mint mark. Obverse Stage C: Weak chip west of the 1. Weak secondary mint mark showing a remnant at the left lower area. Reverse Stage A: Die scratch south from lower center of the O in OF to the left wheat stem. E/W die scratches near the right wheat stem located below the IC in AMERICA. Die scratch SW from left center of the last A in AMERICA. Reverse Stage B: Scratch from the O in OF abraded away. Other stage A markers are weaker. Reverse Stage C: Stage A markers abraded away. Small die chip (dot) below the right leg of the last A in AMERICA.
