Description

Obverse Stage A: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Die scratches from the lower side of the E of WE, SW to the hair. NE/SW die scratch inside the lower loop of the 3 in the date. Obverse Stage B: Stage A scratches still present. Die crack over the designer’s initials with light chips on the V. Obverse Stage C: Stage A scratches still present. Longer crack over the designer’s initials with heavier chips on the V. Reverse Stage A: NW/SE die scratch on the right wheat grains, NE of the last S in STATES. Reverse Stage B: N/S die scratch centered between the U of UNITED. Die scratches SE from the right lower area of the U of UNITED. Reverse Stage C: Stage B markers present.
