Description

Holding the primary catalog position for the 1937-D date, this VarietyVista-documented Denver Mint Lincoln Wheat Cent bears a D/D North displacement with the reverse of Stages A-C listed as DDR-001, creating a multi-variety coin. Die markers span two pairings: UVC-055 / DMR-003 for Stages A-C and UVC-056 / DMR-004 for Stage D. Stage A with strong secondary mintmark at EDS, a die gouge under middle of bust, and reverse listed as DDR-001 at EDS; Stage B with medium secondary mintmark at MDS and reverse at MDS; Stage C with weak secondary mintmark at LDS, die gouge under bust worn away, and reverse at LDS; Stage D with weak secondary mintmark at LDS and reverse die changed at EDS.
