1884 (O) Morgan Dollar - Repunched Mintmark WRPM-007

Description

1884-O WRPM-007 is a repunched mint mark on the 1884-O Morgan dollar, cataloged by the Wexler team. Wexler describes it as an O/O South. On the obverse, an E/W crack runs along the base of the date, heaviest between the 8s, and from the top of PLURIBUS's S a crack heads ENE. On the reverse, a crack runs ENE from the mint mark's right center to AMERICA's last A, and another climbs north from the wreath's top right to the eagle's right-side wing. Assorted cracks cross USA and ONE, and from the left center of the ribbon bow a crack heads west through the leaves. David Mulberry submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as RPM #7, and its VAM number is #13.
