The 1869 Half Dollar Patterns page groups the half dollar patterns dated 1869 in the Reconstruction Era Patterns (1866-1869) series, all struck at the Philadelphia Mint. J-742 to J-759a are the Standard Silver half dollars in three obverse designs, in silver, copper, aluminum and, for single pieces, brass; J-760 to J-762 come from the regular dies; and J-A1869-8 is a white metal obverse die trial.
