Description

Exhibiting a medium spread on Sally Ride's left collar area, this 2022 Philadelphia Mint doubled die reverse documents hub doubling on one of the American Women Quarter Program's inaugural designs. The collar region is a detail area where even moderate doubling becomes noticeable under magnification due to the sharp relief of the engraved clothing elements. Three die stages have been documented: Stage A at Early Die State on both reverse and obverse, Stage B at Mid Die State (unconfirmed), and Stage C at Late Die State (unconfirmed). Stages B and C have been observed but await additional specimens for full verification.
