2022 (P) Dr. Sally Ride Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-009

Description

2022-P SR WDDR-009 is a doubled die reverse on the 2022-P Dr. Sally Ride quarter (American Women series), cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling lies east of Ride's jacket collar, over her left shoulder. Both sides carry Wexler's master die doubling: WMDO-001 on the obverse and WMDR-001 on the reverse. On the obverse, a chip sits on the mouth's back, two small gouges lie SW of the date's first 2, and a small gouge sits left of the last T in TRUST. On the reverse, there is a die dent at the rim under the TE of QUARTER, a thin scratch inside the N of UNITED (lower opening), and two very small gouges over the BU of PLURIBUS. George W. Powell, Jr. submitted the variety. VarietyVista lists it as VDDR-001.
