2022 (P) Dr. Sally Ride Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-007

Description

2022-P SR WDDR-007 is a doubled die reverse on the 2022-P Dr. Sally Ride quarter (American Women series), cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling lies south of Ride's chin. Both sides carry Wexler's master die doubling: WMDO-001 on the obverse and WMDR-001 on the reverse. Obverse markers: at the back of the mouth, cracks and chips; between the 0 and the second 2 of the date, a large gouge; a gouge at the bust's front tip; and left of the first T in TRUST, close to the rim, a gouge. Reverse markers: in the field left of Ride's ear, a thin NW/SE scratch; a thin north-south scratch through the last U of PLURIBUS; a gouge over the U in QUARTER, on its right side; a gouge to the right of QUARTER's last R; a gouge under the last L of SALLY; a gouge left of the T in UNITED; and a gouge right of the A in STATES.
