Description
2022-P SR WMDR-001, cataloged by the Wexler team, is a master die doubled reverse on the Dr. Sally Ride quarter struck at Philadelphia in 2022 for the American Women series. Very weak doubling lies above Ride's left shoulder, east of her jacket collar. Wexler files it as a doubled master die variety and gives no die markers for either side, since they differ among the working dies that were affected. Tanner Scott submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler's comments say this master die doubling appears on the majority of Ride quarters, and possibly on all of them.
