Description
2022-P SR WDDR-002 is a doubled die reverse on the 2022-P Dr. Sally Ride quarter (American Women series), cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling lies south of Ride's chin. Both sides carry Wexler's master die doubling: WMDO-001 on the obverse and WMDR-001 on the reverse. On the obverse there is a crack across the back of the mouth, a gouge in the mouth, and many small gouges around IN GOD WE TRUST: between the N of IN and the G of GOD, inside the E of WE in its lower opening, and to the right of both the R and the U in TRUST. Reverse markers: a gouge in the Q of QUARTER; a gouge between the U and N of UNITED; a gouge touching the T in UNITED at its upper right; and a gouge between the L and U of PLURIBUS. George W. Powell, Jr. submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.

Small die gouge right of the T in LIBERTY. Reverse: WMDR-001. Small die gouge below the left side of the first U in PLURIBUS. Die gouge touches the inner right side of the U in QUARTER. Small die gouge right of the R in AMERICA.
