2018 (P) Block Island National Wildlife Refuge Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-009

Description

2018-P RI WDDR-009 is a doubled die reverse on the 2018-P Block Island National Wildlife Refuge quarter (Rhode Island) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. Minor doubling appears on the left wing, at the tip of the first feather and the upper end of the second, running under the right wing's bottom feather, above the ground. On the obverse, a short gouge runs east off the N in IN from its center right, another short gouge lies to the right of the upper part of that N, and a short vertical gouge sits low between the L and A of DOLLAR. On the reverse, a short gouge lies NNW of the first C of CTC, the designer's initials. George W. Powell, Jr. submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
