Description
Minor doubling shows on the end of the second feather above the ground on the left wing. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Die gouge below the last A in AMERICA. Obverse Stage B: Numerous small die gouges can be found in a radiating pattern throughout the obverse. Short, horizontal die gouge can be found below the N of IN. Reverse Stage A: A large die break can be found under the top feather on the bird’s back. Reverse Stage B: A small die chip can be found on the top of the bird’s eye. Two small die gouges can be found above the first C in the designer’s initials CTC.
