Description
2018-P RI WDDR-008 is a doubled die reverse on the 2018-P Block Island National Wildlife Refuge quarter (Rhode Island) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. Minor doubling is visible between the left wing's second and third feathers above the ground. Obverse markers: a gouge inside the N of UNITED, lower opening; one left of the base of the first L in DOLLAR; one below the E in AMERICA on its right side; small gouges above the US of TRUST and SW of its last T; and a long, thin scratch running SW from the chin. On the reverse, there is a chip on the bird's back below the top feather, a gouge over the left side of the building, and a small gouge above the horizon at the far right. George W. Powell, Jr. submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
