2015 (D) Blue Ridge Parkway Quarter - D(BRP)-25DER-002T Trail Die Reverse

Description

Ken Potter found a second Blue Ridge Parkway reverse with trails, 2015D(BRP)-25DER-002T. Here the lines leave the fir tree's branches and the top of the bridge and head east-northeast, at 060°, up and to the right. In the number, 2015D is the year and Denver mint, BRP the park, 25 the denomination in cents, DER the reverse extension category and 002T the second file, with trails. Die markers are unknown. Like file 001, it came from quarters given out at the US Mint area during an ANA show, according to TrailDies. Trails are generally attributed to die polishing with a rotating buff, though a few writers trace them to the die moving against the hub.
