Description
2013P-1DER-005T shows trails off the tops of ATES in STATES and AMER in AMERICA, offset at 350°, slightly west of north, toward the rim. TrailDies' code: 2013 and P for date and Philadelphia mint, 1 for cent, DER for reverse design extension, then file number 005 and the trail T. Both dies on the coin described are at a middle state and both show clash marks, heavy on the obverse; TrailDies points to the MAD Die Clashes listing TDC-1c-2013-01 for that clash. Joe Koelling found it. Trails are commonly put down to die polishing with a rotary buff; a less common view links them to the die moving relative to the hub.
