2013 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-002

Description

2013 WDDO-002 is a doubled die obverse on the 2013 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Both LIBERTY and the date show extra thickness. Notches mark the ERTY of LIBERTY at the bottom left, and the 2 and the 1 of the date at the bottom left as well. On the obverse, a strong gouge sticks out from the rim just right of the N of IN, and several small gouges stick out from the rim over the letters of GOD. On the reverse, a short gouge runs ESE from the rim above the O of OF, and north of CENT's T, in the field above the ribbon, a scratch runs SSW to NNE. Ronald Traino submitted the variety.
