Description
2013P-1DEO-001T has trails hanging from the bottoms of the letters of LIBERTY and running straight down the coin at 180°, due south. The number is TrailDies' shorthand for a 2013 Philadelphia cent (2013P, 1) with an obverse design extension (DEO), file 001, type T. The coin described is at a middle die state, with a crack in Lincoln's forehead and, on the reverse, a crack and chip where the shield's left side meets its top. Since Philadelphia cents carry no mint mark, the P in the code is TrailDies' addition. Joe Koelling found the die. Trails are generally blamed on a rotary polishing tool working the die face, though a minority view connects them to die-to-hub movement.

- Reverse is MDS – a die crack with die chip is seen on the upper left edge of the shield.
