2008P(JM)-100DEO-001T is a James Monroe Presidential dollar obverse from 2008 with moderate trails from the letters of JAMES MONROE and of PRESIDENT. The lines point 330°, north-northwest. TrailDies builds the number from the year and Philadelphia's P, Monroe's initials in brackets, 100 meaning a dollar, DEO for the obverse, then file 001 with a T for trails. Mary Fantauzzo of New York found it. The coin described is from early in the die's life (stage A), with a tiny die dot on Monroe's forehead and nothing noted on the reverse. Specialists generally connect trails to polishing the die with a rotary buff, and a minority to the die moving against the hub.
