Description
Strong trail lines are seen on all devices on the bottom half of the reverse die on this 2013P Jefferson nickel. The strength of the trail lines seems to increase from right to left. The trail lines through the stairs of Monticello have distorted their shape giving an appearance of waves, hence the term wavy steps. The offset direction for these trail lines is 180°. This is definitely a major trail die.
