2011 (P) Native American Dollar - Position A - P(SAC)-100DEO-001T Trail Die Obverse

Description

Trails drop from the bottoms of the letters in IN GOD WE TRUST on 2011P(SAC)-100DEO-001T, the obverse of a 2011 Native American dollar, pointing 150°, south-southeast, down and to the right. Read in order, the number gives the year and mint (2011P), the Sacagawea design (SAC), the dollar (100), an obverse design extension (DEO), file 001 and the trails type (T). Mike Carroll found it. The stage B coin TrailDies describes has a small gouge by the rim above IN, and two small gouges at the bases of the M and E of AMERICA on its reverse. Most people who study trails blame rotary polishing of the die; others think the die moved against the hub.
