Description
On 2011P-1DER-002T the lines come from the letters of UNITED STATES OF and lean up and to the left at 300°, west-northwest. TrailDies' number reads year 2011, mint P, denomination 1 (cent), DER (reverse design extension), file 002 and T (trails). Its coin is at an early middle die state with nothing to note on the obverse. The reverse has a short scratch above the F in OF and a small dent just under the E of AMERICA. Steven Bingham found the die. TrailDies' 008T shares the 300° bearing, but its lines sit on STATES alone. The common account holds that a rotary buff used to polish the die drags out these lines; others attribute them to the die moving against the hub.

- Reverse is EMDS – a short die scratch is seen above the F in the word OF. A small die dent is seen just below the E of AMERICA.
