Description
TrailDies jokes that 2011P-1DEO-020T could be called the "Centipede LIBERTY": short lines hang from the bottoms of the letters like legs. They run in two close directions, 180° (due south) and 190° (just west of south). The number means a 2011 Philadelphia cent (2011P, 1), an obverse design extension (DEO), file 020, with T for trails. TrailDies noted no markers on either side of its middle-die-state coin, so the many-legged look of LIBERTY is the way to recognise it. Monika Stacy found the die. Most attribute trails to polishing the die with a rotary buff, though some attribute them to the die moving against the hub.
