2011 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - P-1DEO-014T Trail Die Obverse

Description

TrailDies lists 2011P-1DEO-014T as a dual-direction die, with two sets of lines crossing the RTY of LIBERTY: one at 030°, north-northeast (up and to the right), the other at 210°, south-southwest (down and to the left). Its number covers the 2011 date and P mint mark, the one-cent denomination (1), the DEO tag for a design extension on the obverse, file 014, and the T for trails. The obverse of the middle-die-state coin shows nothing to note, and the reverse has two die chips on the top edge of the shield. Tate Schuetz found the die. Trails are generally credited to a rotary buff used to polish the die; some attribute them to die-to-hub movement instead.
