Description
2011-1DEO-015T belongs to a Philadelphia Lincoln Shield cent obverse of 2011; its TrailDies number leaves out the mint letter; what follows is 1 for one cent, DEO marking the obverse as the side with the design extension, 015 as the file and T for trails. Lines stand up off the top of LIBERTY, pointing to 350°, ten degrees west of due north. TrailDies compares it closely with its 1DEO-011T. It gives no obverse marker for its middle-die-state coin, but the reverse has a small gouge beside the right serif of the U in UNITED. George Finster found the die. TrailDies and most others trace trails to polishing of the die with a rotary buff; some attribute them to the die moving against the hub.
