2006 (P) Nebraska State Quarter - P(NE)-25DER-001T Trail Die Reverse

Description

2006P(NE)-25DER-001T is the Nebraska quarter reverse that TrailDies pairs with the obverse trail die 2006P-25DEO-002T(NE). In the code, 2006P is the year and Philadelphia mint, NE the state, 25 the quarter, DER a reverse design extension, 001 the file and T trails. The lines leave LURIB in PLURIBUS and point southwest, 230°, down and to the left. Late in the die's life, a crack reaches from the bust's left base over to QUARTER's U, and a small gouge lies left of the P of PLURIBUS. Jay Dunn found the pair. Trails are thought by most to come from polishing the die with a rotary buff and by some to come from the die moving against the hub.
