First reported on June 5, 2018, SKH-25c-2006P-01(NE) documents a spiked head on the 2006 Philadelphia Mint Nebraska State Quarter. Nebraska's reverse depicts Chimney Rock, the iconic natural landmark on the Oregon Trail, with a covered wagon and the sun rising behind the rock formation. The spike is on the obverse, where a crack in the Washington die ran from the rim into the bust, creating a raised spike on Washington's portrait.
