Description
2006P(NE)-25DEO-001T is a 2006 Philadelphia quarter obverse, struck for the Nebraska design (NE), with trails. In its code the 25 stands for a quarter dollar and DEO for an obverse design extension, while 001T gives the file number and the trail kind. Lines leave the letter tops of IN GOD WE TRUST and also ERI in AMERICA; TrailDies heads the entry 350°, a little west of north, though the text itself gives no figure. On the middle-die-state coin there is a chip in Washington's queue above the A of DOLLAR and three small die dots on his throat, to the left of the designer's initials. No reverse markers are recorded. Most attribute trails to a rotary tool used to polish the die, though some think the die moved against the hub.
