1995 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent - D-1DER-007WS Trail Die Reverse

Description

Moderate bending of the steps between columns 5 and 8, stronger on the left, is what TrailDies records for 1995D-1DER-007WS, with a heading direction of 180°, due south. Wavy steps are trail lines crossing the Memorial's stairs so the steps appear bent. Its number: 1995D (date and Denver mint), 1 (cent), DER (reverse design extension), 007 (file), WS. The stage C reverse has two gouges below the base line, one left of ONE's O and one right of CENT's T; no obverse markers were seen. Polishing the die with a rotary buff is the usual attribution, with die movement against the hub as the alternative some favour.
