Description

D/D South Die Markers: Obverse: A light, mostly N-S oriented die scratch shows between the IB in LIBERTY. Parallel die scratches run NE from Lincoln’s eyebrow and nose. A die gouge shows in the field SE of the S in TRUST. Die gouge in hair under D in GOD. Heavy die scratches run mostly E-W behind Lincoln’s head. Die gouge on shoulder south of Y in LIBERTY. Reverse: Die gouge right of the upper F in OF. Die gouge well below of second A in AMERICA. Die gouge in upper bay 2.
