Description

A very close spread towards the center shows on IGWT, the date, the designer’s initials, and the lower queue. Die Markers: Obverse: An extremely strong die gouge runs from the rim through the upper right of the Y in LIBERTY. A die scratch runs east from the rim at about 9:30 extending to the center of the nose. A heavy die crack runs across the base of the bust with numerous small die chips on the die crack. A small die gouge (dot) can be found on the bottom right side of the ribbon. Reverse: A short die gouge runs south from the upper horizontal bar of the F in OF. Two die scratches run NE from the tip of the leave above the second L in DOLLAR. A strong die crack runs down the eagle’s right wing extending to the upper Q in QUARTER. Die chips can be found on the right wing below the T in UNITED. A die crack runs across the eagle’s beak and lower head. A die crack can be found on the eagle’s upper left wing with small die chips below the M in AMERICA. Obverse:
