1964-D Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-011

Description

A Class II spread towards the center shows on the ERTY of LIBERTY, IGWT, the date, the designer’s initials, and the hair at the top and back of the head. The TY of LIBERTY is tripled. Die Markers: Obverse: A die scratch runs SE from the bottom of the nose to the lips. Reverse: Flanged G in FG. Cross-referenced as CONECA: 9-O-II Comments: This variety was previously listed as WDDO-011 but was reassigned to help fill the large number of “holes” in the listings after the recognition of the master die doubling and the doubled working hubs.
