1961 (D) Roosevelt Dime - Repunched Mintmark WRPM-009

Description

1961-D WRPM-009 is a repunched mint mark on the 1961-D Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. Wexler describes it as D/D Tilted (Rotated). A NNE/SSW scratch sits in the field to the right of the neck's top, and a NE scratch leaves the upper right of GOD's G. On the reverse, a short scratch runs south off the lower right of UNITED's E. Another starts at the lower left of UNITED's D and runs NE through the D into the field, and a series of SSW scratches leaves the olive branch's lower right leaf. Ben Peters submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
