1961 (D) Roosevelt Dime - Repunched Mintmark WRPM-007

Description

1961-D WRPM-007 is a repunched mint mark on the 1961-D Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. Wexler describes it as D/D Tilted (Rotated). A N/S scratch joins the nose and the lower lip. On the reverse, a light SSW scratch leaves the lower left of PLURIBUS's last U and reaches the torch holder. Another light scratch runs south from UNUM's first U, slightly right of its lower center. N/S scratches lie left of STATES's E, and a scratch runs south from the upper left of STATES's second T. Jeff Longeuay submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
