Description
1953-D WRPM-009 is a repunched mint mark on the 1953-D Jefferson nickel, cataloged by the Wexler team. A secondary D lies southeast of the primary D (D/D Southeast). On the obverse, a die scratch heads SE off the bottom of the O in GOD, and many other scratches appear across the obverse. On the reverse, the E in UNITED has a nearly vertical scratch along its right side. Matthew Sallee submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
