Description
1953-D WRPM-005 is a repunched mint mark on the 1953-D Jefferson nickel, cataloged by the Wexler team. The secondary D is tilted (rotated) relative to the primary (D/D Tilted (Rotated)). Wexler notes no significant obverse markers. On the reverse, one die gouge sits above the left porch and another in UNITED, between its I and T, and short SW/NE scratches lie above the second O in MONTICELLO. Brian Ribar submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
