Description
1948-S WRPM-013 is a repunched mint mark on the 1948-S Jefferson nickel, cataloged by the Wexler team. A secondary S lies east of the primary S (S/S East). On the obverse, scratches head SSE off the underside of the chin. On the reverse, a small die gouge lies right of the lower E of E PLURIBUS UNUM; a scratch heads SSW off the bottom of MONTICELLO's I; a strong SSW/NNE scratch lies left of the E in MONTICELLO; and many scratches, mostly north-south, cross Monticello. Brian Ribar submitted the variety, and Wexler's comments note that he took the photo of the RPM. Wexler lists no cross-references.
