Description
1943 WDDO-008 is a doubled die obverse on the 1943 Washington quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. On IN GOD WE TRUST there is a very close clockwise (CW) spread, pivoting from about 3:00. On the obverse, a scratch heads WNW off the L in LIBERTY at its bottom, a scratch heads ENE off the upper B, and a WSW/ENE scratch lies under the B. On the reverse, small gouges sit right of the upper D in UNITED and right of the E in STATES. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
