Description
Strong extra thickness plus some separation lines spread towards the center show on IGWT, LIBERTY, the bottom of the ribbon, and the date.Die Markers: Obverse: A die gouge can be found just to the right of the bottom of the I in LIBERTY. A die scratch runs WNW from the bottom right of the L in LIBERTY. Two parallel die scratches run across the lower ribbon. A short die scratch runs NNW from the upper right G in GOD. Reverse: The reverse is a minor doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled die Files as 1943 25¢ WDDR-005. A slight CW spread shows on UNITED STATES and QUARTER. A horizontal die scratch runs from the upper R to the upper C in AMERICA.Submitted By: John A.
