This variety was discovered on the 1943 (D) Jefferson Nickel - Wartime Silver Alloy, part of the Jefferson Nickels Original Design 1938-2003 series. Die markers: UVC-126 DMR-011 Stage A: Reverse is EMDS Die crack along side of the back of the E of LIBERTY to rim – EMDS Stage B: Reverse is MDS Die crack head to rim at K-12:00 – MDS Die crack from cheekbone South to jawbone Die crack from front lapel to rim Stage C: LDS (unconfirmed).
