D/D Tilted (Rotated) Die Markers: Obverse: None noted. Reverse: The reverse is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1940-D 1¢ WDDR-006. Parallel, nearly vertical die scratches run above the N of UNITED. NNW/SSE die scratches run through the C of AMERICA. Nearly vertical die scratches run through the left side of the T of CENT.
