Description
The 1910-S Repunched Mintmark RPM-003 is a repunched mint mark variety of the United States cent. This variety was discovered on the 1910 (S) Lincoln Wheat Cent, part of the Lincoln Wheat Cents 1909-1958 series. Die markers: UVC-1122 DMR-005 Stage A: Strong die clash at throat and behind neck – EDS Light die scratch curving above the left side of the D of GOD Die clash shows at lower C of CENT – EMDS Stage B: Very weak die clash at throat and behind neck – EDS No die clash showing at lower C of CENT – EMDS Stage C: LDS (unconfirmed). Inverted S/Inverted S East. A re-evaluation of this variety indicates that the primary mintmark is inverted. The underlying mintmark is also inverted, making this the only known uncorrected inverted RPM on a Lincoln Cent.
