Revised 2015 by Kurt Johnson 11(revised) III2 7 C4a (Doubled Profile) (181,189) Obverse III2 7 - Doubled Liberty's profile in forward hairline, forehead, nose, lips and chin. Die 1 ''Die marker'' - Line of dots at top of top right cotton leaf. Reclassified to 1904-O VAM-21 2013 Revision Die 2 - Reclassified to 1904-O VAM-21 2013 Revision Die 3 Same obverse die as Die 1 of VAM-39. (''Die marker'' ''-'' Line of dots at top of top right cotton leaf.) Die 4 ''Die marker'' - Polishing line at top left of T in LIBERTY, small die chips at chin-neck junction. Occurs with VAM-11A die break on LDS Reverse C4a Die 1 ''Die marker'' - Fine vertical die scratch at upper middle of eagle's left wing near wing tip. Reclassified to 1904-O VAM-21 2013 Revision Die 2 ''Die marker -'' Isolated polishing lines above A in DOLLAR. Reclassified to 1904-O VAM-21 2013 Revision Die 3 Same die as Die 2 of VAM-46. Die 4 ''Die marker'' - Diagonal Polishing lines in eagles neck-wing gap. Occurs with VAM 11A die break on LDS. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Revision Comments: # at one time there were Die Pairs #1, #2, and #3. In November 2013, Die Pairs #1 and #2 were re-listed as VAM-21 Die Pairs #1 and #2 respectively. The die pair that remains in the VAM-11 slot is the previously identified VAM-11 Die Pair #3. # Die pair #4 was added in 2015. # Die pair #4 is the earlier die state of the VAM-11A and shares both the obverse and reverse die. VAM-11A differs in that it has a die chip in the right wreath.
