Description
1904-O VAM-10 Doubled Profile, O/O Discovered by Oscar Simpson, January 1977. Revised 2010. Revised November 2024 to remove reference to VAM 31 10 (revised) III2 24 • C4e (Doubled Profile, O/O) (181) Obverse III2 24 - Slightly doubled profile from bridge to tip of nose. Die marker - Diagonal scratch at bottom of T in LIBERTY. Reverse C4e - III O Mint mark set high and tilted left. Short curved spike bottom right outside of mint mark. Polishing lines in wreath center, olive branch leaves, eagle's tail feathers and wings. Date position (DPIS): C3/LE5. Notes: Same obverse as VAM 30 Die 1.
