Description
1889-P VAM-20 Doubled Ear and Forehead Discovered by Jeff Oxman, March 1985. This coin is a Hot 50 Morgan VAM. 20 (revised) III2 19 C3a (Doubled Ear and Forehead) (190) Obverse III2 19 - Ear slightly doubled at left inside and right outside. Slightly doubled lower edge of hair above ear and edge of forehead. The date is set in the normal position. Diagnostic - Doubled edge of forehead. Reverse C3a - Normal DPIS - LH3/RE4 Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: '''Comments: 1. There are three Die Sequences to this VAM: A. Unclashed B. Clashed with Raised dot between U and S of PLURIBUS and polishing lines on Eagle's right wing. C. Clashed with no Raised dot between U and S of PLURIBUS but, does have polishing lines on Eagle's right wing.
