Description
2025 WDDO-009 is a doubled die obverse on the 2025 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. A second ear shows SW of the normal ear. Obverse markers: several small gouges under the first 2 of the date; a group of light vertical scratches through the date's right side; very light horizontal scratches inside the D of GOD; and a vertical scratch right of the chin. Reverse markers: light gouges heading north from the tops of the I and T in UNITED; light gouges on both sides of the last A in AMERICA, near its top; and a tiny gouge on the top of the E in E PLURIBUS UNUM. Scott Holliday submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler's comments compare it with 2025 WDDO-014: the doubling is alike, but the markers show two separate dies, and an overlay suggests the doubling on this die sits a little further north.
