Description
2025 WDDO-003 is a doubled die obverse on the 2025 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling shows on the upper part of the Y in LIBERTY and on the RU of TRUST; the 5 in the date shows very slight doubling on its vertical bar. Obverse markers: a gouge (dot) in the field over the IB of LIBERTY; two gouges (dots) in the upper hair under the E in WE; two gouges (dots) where the upper forehead meets the hair curl; and a crack running over the eyebrow and NNW into the forehead. Reverse markers: a pair of gouges (dots) in the field left of the shield's tip; a tiny gouge (dot) right of the L in PLURIBUS; a gouge (dot) on PLURIBUS's first U, at the center of its right arm; and a gouge (dot) over the E of CENT. Steven J. Bernatowicz submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
