Minor doubling to the north shows on the first 2 of the date; the Y of LIBERTY shows a very slight amount. On the obverse, a crack shows on the eyebrow, a gouge (dot) lies in the field right of the forehead, and another gouge (dot) sits on the back edge of the central lapel. On the reverse, a large chip with associated cracks sits on the shield's upper left edge, and a gouge lies in the field left of the E in E PLURIBUS. Steven J. Bernatowicz submitted the variety.
